But holy cow those hotdogs are amazing. And the margaritas are wonderful. And when the garage door is open and you have those two things combined on the table in front of you (but not on your own plate because everyone's food comes out together on one confusing massive plate) it's all worth it for the most part.
I have been there 3 times, this one being the worst experience, but all of them involve waits of greater than 45 minutes and problems with actually getting seated properly. The food is good, but it is not good enough to justify all of that.
2 Hot dogs are almost to much to eat (FYI) unless you can slay food.
Super trendy and almost always crowded, the food and drinks are usually very good. Just know they have a couple weird quirks. First the staff is generally totally apathetic... but I mean I probably would be too if I thought I was as hip and cool as they do. The seating situation can be strange sometimes, or every time really. The corn tortillas aren't my favorite.
It's a cool spot and very reasonable.
Tacos are good. Best tacos in Ferndale.
See another one of my post's for good tacos.
We had a party of 8 people. A bigger group for sure, and they have only three booths that can seat 8,but they also have family style seating. The problem is they refuse to seat parties bigger than 6 people at those tables. During the two and a half hour wait my group had, multiple sections of those tables that could have easily seated us opened up. But that's their policy sure.
The worst part was when one of the booths finally did open up, we were supposed to be the next big group to be seated, but instead we got to stand there and watch as three people took the entire booth. Why? Well they were friends of the server, so they got to cut the line AND take the only seating that can fit big groups.
The Hot Dogs are incredible!
Tip: If you go for lunch during the week, get there before noon (when the clock strikes 12 = crazy lunch rush) otherwise you'll be waiting.
Great food, great drinks, but the service was a little lackluster. I have been there in the past and the service was better those times. It was a Saturday so I can excuse the slower service a little bit.
The hostess and manager were both completely unapologetic and rude.
Great margaritas and bar food and love the atmosphere. Often very busy so you do better to go on an off day or before the dinner rush. They have a great Johnny Cash portrait above the bar and staff is friendly. I'm always happy with their vegan taco options just hate trying to get seated.
